INOCHEM, S.A. DE C.V., a provider of highly specialized tests for accurate diagnostics in clinical laboratories and hospitals in the public and private segments in Mexico, is now part of EUROIMMUN. INOCHEM becomes the 16th affiliate of the Luebeck, Germany-based company.
INOCHEM’s relationship with EUROIMMUN spans more than 14 years, initally as sub-distributor of another Mexican provider of medical products, and since 2013 as the main distributor for EUROIMMUN in Mexico.
EUROIMMUN is a global leader in autoimmune testing and an emerging force in infectious disease, allergy and molecular genetic testing.
“Mexico is one of the largest and most rapidly growing markets for in-vitro diagnostics in Latin America. The opportunity to bring INOCHEM’s market expertise and broad customer base into the EUROIMMUN family is an important differentiator for us and sets us up well to expand in the region,“ says Kai Fechner, Director of International Sales and Marketing.
Jesús Abrego Campos, who founded the INOCHEM in 2003, will remain CEO.
Moving forward, INOCHEM will be responsible for the local distribution and technical support of approximately 200 EUROIMMUN products registered within the country. The product range offered in Mexico is quite diversified and encompasses diagnostics for autoimmune and infectious diseases as well as test systems for allergy and molecular diagnostics. Also, EUROIMMUN’s automation solutions will be made available to the customers through the Mexico City location.
