Let’s change the perspective together! — ChLIA for allergy diagnostics

Keep the overview and focus on relevance and quality with our carefully selected portfolio in allergy diagnostics.

In allergy diagnostics, chemiluminescence immunoassays (ChLIA) contribute to quick and precise identification of sensitisations to allergens. They allow specific determination of IgE antibodies in the blood, which can cause allergic reactions. This is especially important when traditional skin tests are difficult to perform due to other conditions or when the results of other tests are inconclusive, making confirmation by another method essential.

Let’s maintain an overview

From very rare to frequently occurring allergies – there are thousands of structures that the body recognises as foreign. The number of newly identified substances with allergenic potential is rising steadily and the prevalence of allergies varies from region to region. The most common triggers are certain foods and insect venoms as well as inhalation and occupational allergens. For example, the 14 most common food allergens – which include eggs, fish, peanuts and milk – are responsible for around 90%1 of food allergies. EUROIMMUN and IDS offer a portfolio of carefully selected tests to identify these frequent allergies. Using these tests, the most relevant allergy triggers can be determined in a short period of time.

Let’s sharpen the focus

Aside from the right selection of parameters, test systems must fulfil high quality standards to ensure consistent results. Only then can the triggers of allergic reactions be identified reliably and appropriate treatment strategies be initiated as early as possible.

Let’s discover the advantages

The IDS-iSYS was developed for simultaneous processing of ChLIAs from different diagnostic areas such as autoimmunity, endocrinology, bone metabolism, infectiology, Alzheimer’s disease diagnostics and therapeutic drug monitoring. The random-access instrument makes it possible to load samples and reagents continuously, which makes it an excellent choice for STAT sample processing. This feature also means that laboratories with a high throughput and a wide range of tests can use the instrument to capacity and save a lot of time.
