The state-of-the-art UNIQO 160 is EUROIMMUN’s all-in-one system reducing manual working steps, increasing productivity and ensuring maximum diagnostic precision. Full automation of indirect immunofluorescence assays (IFA) from the primary sample to the result proposal makes the instrument an ideal choice for laboratories wanting to take their IFA workflow to the next level. The UNIQO 160 can process up to 160 samples and 18 slides per run – a perfect fit for medium sample throughputs.
To unlock even more of the UNIQO 160’s potential, 23 additional IFA are now available for processing with the instrument. These additions not only include further parameters for the existing panels for vasculitis, rheumatology, hepatology and gastroenterology, but also seven tests for the new indication of autoimmune neurological diseases. The greatly expanded UNIQO 160 portfolio in combination with the available EUROIMMUN BIOCHIP mosaics allows simultaneous investigation of different autoantibodies such as anti-nuclear antibodies (ANA), anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (ANCA), anti-mitochondrial antibodies (AMA), anti-smooth muscle antibodies (ASMA), anti-liver-kidney microsomal (LKM) antibodies or different neurological markers. Top-quality cultured cells, antigen-expressing cells as well as tissue sections are used as substrates.
But that is not all: We are working tirelessly to further expand the portfolio of UNIQO 160 compatible tests in the future. Our goal is to enable the instrument to be used to capacity as much as possible and according to different needs and thus maximise processing efficiency.
The IFA images are processed quickly and reliably using the AI-enhanced software EUROPattern Classifier. This EUROLabOffice 4.0-compatible classifier software supports evaluation through the automated generation of a result proposal (including pattern recognition), positive/negative classification and titer calculation. Time savings thanks to the algorithm are particularly significant in the identification of mixed patterns. Users also benefit from the possibility to batch verify negatively classified result proposals.
